Most wanted uploaded a new video called NFS Carbon: Beta Canyon Leftover (Link: and I noticed something interesting in that map of the drift course. it resembles the map of the university in Fortuna! just look at the map, it is not similar but it looks a lot like it.  What do you think? I really have no idea what it might be. Another map, this time I highlighted the roads which I think the course map looks like:  |

The beta canyon leftover, then was wrong, it was just a section of the Palmont University.

Probably just a mistake EA made due to lack of time. Maybe that area was called Lofty Heights in Beta (that area is really the highest in Fortuna) and they changed the name to Palmont University. A thing that bothers me a bit is that "Lofty Heights" doesn't sound like a name for a canyon or a mountain. It sounds more like a suburban neighbourhood or something. That's my opinion. |

there is something weird well i think all of you noticed in the canyon route of lofty hills there is something strange here it is Strangely, this picture denotes a connection between the two sections. I checked, and there isn't one but there is a camping/picnic area nearby. I noticed a few new things. Firstly, The Collector's Edition show the correct drift route, I know it because I have it (Pirated FTW) and here is a picture:  Of course the map seems a bit distorted but it is still better than the map shown in the video. Secondly, after looking at your picture and checking the game a bit I saw that Journeyman's Bane (the sprint) also have that little connection. Here's a picture  The strange thing is that the canyon race doesn't have that small road. Thirdly, I noticed that Journeyman's Bane is Lofty Heights Downhill mirrored (I think that many others did too...). |

in danytnt's first pic the start line is in the MIDDLE OF NOWHERE... so.. WTF happened? also at the finish line. its actually TOO far from the canyons end.. just look closely

WTF happened? also at the finish line. its actually TOO far from the canyons end.. just look closely you forget that they are one race but mirrored(also desperation ridge and dead fall junction) but the strange thing is the start line as you said and journeyman`s bane have two texture at the first black normal rocks like at half of the race exactly after a tunnel it will change like east canyon textures deserty rocks |

Oh the canyon enviroment:
Deserty: East Canyon Middle and Nort side, East side of Carbon Canyon
Foresty: Southiest side of East Canyon, West side of Carbon Canyon, West Canyon itself
Remember how the game said that the bosses fight on canyons that are the closes to their territorries? Lie. In the career, you only defeat bosses in canyons that are located in the east canyon with the exception of kenji
A month of research and i shall start making our so far biggest accomplishment, the carbon geographical map with all the secrets and canyon routes. Wont be easy but together we can do it. I'll throw the crew vid away for later, this seems more important. Lets start collecting info
This is what i can start with: Canyon locations
East Canyon:
Knifes edge, Copper ridge, Gold walley run, Eternity Pass, Devils Creek Pass
West Canyon:
Lofty Heights Downhill, Lookout Point
Carbon Canyon:
Journeyman's Bane, Desperation Ridge, Deadfall Junction
I'm 100% sure about these locations, now we need to correctly put the trackmaps on the palmont city map.
If you wanna have that "effort" in my vids then this is when you can show what youre capable of!

BY THE FUCKING WAY! ANOTHER CITY DISCOVERED! It's at the petersburg lake! It can be seen from Journeyman's bane! yeah know, i mentioned that in my threads about them. But really i can locate all canyons. Let me do this i will locate all from east, carbon and west canyon. I have even basement for map. |

What I mean is are you sure that Lookout point is in a desert? If yes, then it is in the western canyon. If no, then I have a theory that might be a little disappointing but I am still going to say it. Maybe, they created Lookout Point to the east of Mystery City, but when they dropped it and made Palmont City, they didn't have time to change the scenery so they kept it as it is and say it is located in East Canyon. Another thing that I thought, is the reason why all canyon races happen in West Canyon. EA planned the boss canyon races to take place on the mountain of MC's island (which is in a desert) but after they dropped MC, they didn't have time so they kept the deserty scenery hoping no one would notice... Edit: yep, Lookout Point is in a forest. |
