Okay, so, Mystery City. We know a few things about it (like San Juan was part of it and the canyons may have been accessible). However, we do NOT know where it is and we do not know it's real name. One thing confuses me. You can see possible Mystery City textures to the west of Fortuna which is followed by a big mountain (just like the demo map) What's even more odd is that if you go a little bit more to the left with the Outside of Level glitch, you can find San Juan, when according to the in-game map: San Juan is to the east of Silverton! I don't think that's a coincidence or anything. In-fact, I think EA WANTED us to find that. After a little bit of thinking, I made this map here: Are there 2 San Juan's in the game or is this just a mapping problem, because that makes absolutely no sense.

Hahah, guess I beat ya to it! Thanks. It's quite odd, as what is that small territory that's merged in to Silverton? Unused Silverton roads or something? This keeps raising more and more questions by the minute.

What's special about it is that it looks like a canyon or an unused harbour from the game (since it's merged right in to Silverton)
I'm gonna investigate that on the PS2 version. When I'll get the chance, I'll upload screenshots from the PC version to see what I find.

Yet in Carbon it's like a part of the Canyon merged in to the city.
Could it be that Canyon Free Roam was originally planned for the game, but later got scrapped due to mapping problems? No idea.
In NFSW, it seems that Palmont's Canyons have been completely destroyed, as Carbon Canyon and everything is missing (except for that big mountain which COULD be Carbon Canyon). Don't you think so too?

Alright, here's what I've found out.
NFSU1, NFSU2, NFSMW and Carbon are in the same era. But maybe NFSUC and NFSW are not in the same universe as these are. That would answer lots of questions and actualy makes sense.

Well, maybe. If the UC and NFSW universes differ from the ones in NFSU/NFSU2/NFSMW/NFSC, than sure, that kinda makes sense. But if World is in the same universe as those 4 games, than it makes absolutely no sense.

Well then lots of our questions are answered. NFSW is not to be relied on because we won't find the truth there for sure.

I could think that if you put Mystery City in the middle of a big archipelago, it could prove that there are hundreds of mystery cities with only one of them is San Juan which is like finding Waldo but instead finding the city.
But if that was Mystery City, then how can you see all of it from a canyon? This makes a mystery to canyon islands near Mystery City but I wonder how the player or any other opponent would got there.
BTW, this is what I could think of.

Mystery city is WAAAAAY TOO confusing at the moment. I should consider contracting a developer who won't even give a crap but at least worth a try.
