nfstheories.boards.net/attachment/download/334I have a really strong feeling that this is not Silverton guys... We've seen this texture tons of times from San Juan, googled it and the name San Juan has a connection with Santa Fe city. 1 hour of research later: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Santa_Fe,_New_Mexico YES. THAT OVER THERE MAY BE SANTA FE CITY. "Under Juan de Oñate and his son, the capital of the province was the settlement of San Juan de los Caballeros north of Santa Fe near modern Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo." The hungarian translation also points it out that San Juan is 40 kilometers to the North of Santa Fe. And the page for the actual city called San Juan: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Juan_de_los_Caballeros"Ohkay Owingeh was previously known as San Juan Pueblo until returning to its pre-Spanish name in November 2005." See that date? Before November 2005, this city was called San Juan Pueblo. The devs were already working on the game that time, according to my development and marketing knownledge. MMMM Discoveries!

MMMM Discoveries! very interesting, but it might be inspiration for Sanjuan and Silverton. And they nicknamed this far view texture as Santa fe. Real Santafe have not lights like Silverton has. Also we still have more proofs that's still Silverton. Texturename and connection/inspiration to real one Santa Fe and this San Juan is interesting thing but small and lone proof.

Then they've like photographed Santa Fe city and used it as an ingame texture. That would also be a legit explanation

you know, maybe the original palmont(beta palmont) was inspired by santa fe city. i dont think that's based on enything other than Silverton=las vegas, Downtown=various city cores but mostly Hongkong and Newyork,Kempton=industrial port dont know which exacly,Fortuna=beverly hills and L.A. basicly, MC is nearly same with Palmont with some major differs(moved districts less detailed, and small part of San Juan in center etc.) Name of one texture is not a proof at all, it would mean everything, reference, ispiration, that is this a edited footege of Santa Fe at night or whatever, but we know it represents a Silverton so there is nothing to theorize right now.

guys i found something look at this all of the cities look like these from above doesnt it look like some pan city textures and from devil creek we see something like it next to fortuna so maybe there is a city next to fortuna or fortuna has another part that was deleted ? so we cant see the roads of pan because we are above it ? so maybe pan city was palmont (pan short for palmont?)

It just used in landscape to show that there are roads.

No, they are not, only the left side of it is Mystery City and the right part is Palmont City, but only Fortuna can be seen and there is no sea surrounding it.

I tried the shoutbox, but it shows only the 1st few shouts on my mobile. My question is how many skylights are there in palmont? In the screen right after the click to continue screen, you can see silverton and 2 skylights in the background, but if you wait you can see two additional fainter ones coming in from the right.

Only 2, the faint ones are a copy, and the only skylights come from the Copana Cabana in Silverton.

One coming from one of twin towers hotel, one from neiborhood of tower, third comes out from one of buildings a bit to south from 2 others. 2 are always visible this third one shows after some seconds on main menu screen and all 3 are visible from Canyons and San Juan.
