So I've recently been playing through Underground again and right at the start of the career mode I noticed something. When you start the career you are thrown into a prologue race using the "Vortex" edition of the Honda Integra Type R, this one: You must win the race in it. After that in the next cut scene you find out that the player was actually daydreaming and it never happened. This "dream" was about where your player would go in this game (As in get higher in the ranks and become a pro racer). So could this mean that this Honda was going to be the players car later in the game? This is mainly just speculation. What do you guys think? It just seems probable to me.

He is just daydreaming nothing to do with the story. Or ea did not know how to do a game with story.

He was dreaming about being the top racer in the scene already...I don't think the car was a specific wish, more likely having a fast car cause the player had nothing at that time, so he was dreaming he was a top driver. What I find weird is why the Bonus cars in PS2 have upgrades, and PC all stock..however different story.

I don't think it was supposed to be players car later on, because the player most likely can choose his car in the game, and I also doubt that it would be any other persons car (Eddie, etc) because it's still in the game

On topic: Maybe that was the car they were hoping to achieve some day, like MW's M3 GTR.

Tho, haven't played for long so... # Hm, but the car never appeared in the game's career and there was no target of achieving a specific ride thru the game.

It could have been a beta element. Maybe it was unlock-able at one point.
