I was watching the NFS Carbon beta video by ChrdWight and the part at where he talks about the graphics, that race always bugged me so I went looking for the original video on IGN, found it's name and then looked up on youtube and found it.
When I watched the video, I noticed that Lookout Point and Mystery City looks different. Stop at 0:45, you can obviously see that Mystery City looks different like the buildings, they are a lot taller than in the final version. Also the palm trees block the rest of the city lol. So what do you all think about this? PS: This is not an April fools joke, I'm serious lol.

May this video be promotional fake like MotorStorm E3 2005 trailer?

May this video be promotional fake like MotorStorm E3 2005 trailer? Graphics are "boosted". Look at Canyon drifting material by EA. In this one Supra has not yet placed exaust pipes in right places (it's in center of the car as default) but visual other than that are stunning as all promotional videos and screensto any game. This one is not fake, but prepared sequance just for E3. Its still surely made with usage of game itself,. Its like motioncapture, they use animation recorded from race with alpha stage "two cubes, representing cars on gray curvy lane representing road" to create such sequance.

As i said its pretty visible how badly hidden are these things. Cars themselves are not either, model got added. Cars lack fume during shifts (sound are good cuz they made them like that just for the sequence, game was never meant to be like that. That scene is just made for fake gameplay.

It was prepared for intro and because it was high quality cinematic it was perfect for such showdown, like this 'fake' gameplay. That's what i think. Its clearly a "directed" cinematic, just based on alpha test race.

What about Mystery City? You can obviously see that it looks different than in the final version. Lookout Point has some differences too.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but does it look like that beta Lookout Point connects to Mystery City in some way in the video? And I also noticed how much more colorful Mystery City looked and it looks much fuller too.
