That was nfs pro street's intro..The mazda rx-7 is interesting. Why? Becouse it is not shown in the game, not shown anywhere, but it is shown in the intro and wallpapers. Now..I think the music in the intro is nfs pro street's theme song: It is even on the cover, here's some pictures:      It's looks like it is from Battlemachine raceday..It is never seen in the game. What do you think? |

NFS World variant of RX-7 which was replica of this one is called Battlemachine, so it proves itsrelation with Battlemachine(btw my favourite organization in NFS PS) by Black Box guys themselves.
By intro and usage of this car in wallpapers and box art i think it was meant to be Ryan's Car(as reward for dominating all Battlemachine race days), but it was too good to start the game with.

Probably becouse they want to show people that the cars can be damaged, or it's battlemachine's style

Most opponents cars seem to have that rugged and scratched look in game. Maybe for detail? I don't know. Carrying on from what Kacpa said, In Undercover you can unlock the same RX-7 which is called "Battle machine" from doing the challenge series. Also same goes for the similar looking Nissan GTR. Its on some covers including mine. But you don't see it as often as the RX-7. This one.  |

The similarities between the GT-R and the RX-7 might be the 'crew members' like the civic and silvia is in the same livery as ryo's car.

Ok, So hey everyone I'm new here and this is officially my first POST. Although most of you probably don't really care. Yes I know I have a ridiculous name but I had no other ideas. . So here's my theory on this rx-7. I think the rx-7 is an ex street king, I'm not sure but I think at one cutscene he was challenging the speed king meaning he was fighting his way up???. And you also see him winning a bunch of races too, and it's mainly all over the place and why should a car be all over the "place" for no reason. Clearly must be important. |

At the old NFS forums, it was mentioned that EA originally planned to have a repair option that would end up with the stitched and duct tape look of the RX7 shown in some of the art work and intro for the game , but that was abandoned during game development, and never made it into the actual game. The Battle Machine RX7 has the vinyls, but not the duct tape or dents that the art work shows. The Battle Machine RX7 is one of three cars you can win from the challenge series in NFS Undercover (version 1.1.18 added the challenge series). Need For Speed World sometimes has a Battle Machine RX7 for sale. I don't know if the Battle Machine RX7 is available in any other NFS games. In NFS The RUN you can see Mazda RX-7 BattleMachine Edition in race in Chicago.

Wait.... there's no such thing as RX-7 Battlemachine in NFS Run .... There's like 3 variant of RX-7 in NFS The Run which doesn't contain Battlemachine  Source : IGCD |

Maybe there's 2 variant of Battlemachine...
One of them could be Drag and the other one could be Grip or Drift....
