Post some stories about how rockport came so close to palmont..all from rediculus stories to realistic stories.  I'll start: Here's a story about a little boy with his towtruck and how he moved rockport so close to palmont. All that little boy wanted was to travel from palmont to rockport under 30 seconds, so what he did was to buy a towtruck and towed rockport alot closer to palmont. Now everyone got happy and said ''yaaaay!!!'' Rockport hit east canyon and got smashed so everyone got angry once again. THE END |

If you want real: EA stated that they made the cities so close together to make traveling easier.
Unrealistic: U.S.A. dropped a nuclear bomb on East Canyon so it went under and Rockport and Palmont became closer.

(Redone)After tectonic movements a lot of mid states areas gone under tectonic plate of atlantic, causing its totall destroyal. Only west and esst coast were left. However Palmont county suffered too, by loosing one of its landmarks - The East Canyon. Rockport got lifted upwards due being on atlantic plate, west got sucked closer resulting Palmont being very close to the Rockport. "Tectonic disaster" stopped as suddenly as it started leaving destroyed landscape and millions of casualties, but humanity survived! Rockport and Palmont got rebuilded(those suffered a lot too) basing on photos from 2005-2006, but as Twin-Cities. Universities of Rosewood and Fortuna became afflicted together. Cities had one mayor and created new county - Pal-port. However good times were gone soon, cities got flooded by surviving ricers from while country. Citizens dont go outside on foot anymore, transports dont go by semitracks anymore, State and county barely can afford enough money to repair all damage caused by ricers. Police fors stopped patrolling bith cities to. And you - next ricer, you're part of this story in this very moment...

One day the mayor of Rockport said to the USAF that he does not like the fact the city is too far away from his favorite city Palmont, so they first used their helicopters to throw away the East Canyon into the ocean, and then they picked up Rockport, and placed it right next to Palmont. And that's how the connectors are in NFSW.

One day, the president of US accidentally hit a button that launches a beam from a satellite. The beam hit East Canyon. The president didn't want anyone to know what he had done. So he called his men to drive one big tow truck to tow Rockport closer to Palmont to cover his tracks. The next day, a racer was driving from Palmont to Rockport, he noticed that the distance between Rockport and Palmont somehow becomes shorter. He told everybody on the Internet. EA heard about the thing the racer said. Thus NFS World is born!
