So while I am completing the game 10th time i noticed when the player enters showcase mode (when you take a pic for a magazine or DVD), Rachel calls you and says "Congrats your in 1st place, you can take a pic" or something like that.
Wait... WHAT? 1st place? But I didn't race. Just a timer shows when the reporters gonna' take off.
Maybe in beta there was a race and the winner was on the cover? I don't know.

If it WERE to be a race, the race must have probably been cut due to position confusion (think, if you are at 2nd place but somewhere far away from the opponent in 1st place. For example entering Beacon Hill on one bridge and on the other bridge is the opponent, in 1st place). I guess then EA forgot at the last minute to rerecord what Rachel says in the message.
