I will try and see if I can get a video on this, but right now I'm having a hard time finding it (and my game crashed while trying to find it...). I'm sure you guys have encountered a random box especially when your car crashes in the middle of nowhere when trying to get to the safehouse from the OOL glitch. I don't know if it's worth theorizing, but something tells me the devs were planning to put something there and removed it later on. It's right in between the safehouse and the background scenery used for the driver profiles.

These which are in city, stay there all the time. When cruise ships and planes roam way bigger areas. That's why this blimp is odd. Other two just fly in circles around Campus and Kempton.

You mean something like this? I found this in the southern void. No it's in the northern void, over by the safehouse and the driver profile BG. It's literally an invisible container that is only noticeable when you hit it out of nowhere.

leftovers, leftovers everywhere. actually i just got used to ignoring such things since noclipping in portal 2 and looking for stuff. Lots of simple square rooms out of level. Some are used for cutscenes, some are obsolete.

The driver profile "scenery" is usually called the "cylinder" by the old time players.
In version 4, what was out of bounds in that area changed over time. There was the original garage, the new garage, the driver profile cylinder, and something players called the lake house. Original garage was removed, then returned upgaded with a clear window. The lake house was reduced to a frame work, then restored and upgaded with a fire place and large tv screen, but the floor was slightly flooded with water. I don't recall any changes made to the current garage or cylinder.
When version 5 was released (November, 2010), the lake house and the original garage were removed.

Have you got any screens of the removed houses?
