In the intro there is a real hype about this car and the driver. It gets destroyed by Caleb's (?not sure) Hummer (never seen in game except the intro-what happened to it?).
If the protagonist gets somewhere else after this crash (Rachel said-the insurrance office just paid for the crash, she knew it from Samantha.
Sooo.
1.The protagonist was racing in Baywiev and he was succesful.
2.Then the crash caused by Caleb
3.Travel to Olimpic City
4.Everything there
5.Comeback to Baywiev
Now questions:
1.Why Rachel handles with the protagonist like with an idiot, i mean he was in Baywiev like 6 months ago. That is the minimap, these are SMS, u know what dey r? She behaves like that.
2.Why Samantha knew first about the insurrance payment?
3.Who the hell is Rachel actually? (she became the most important person in the Baywiev street racing scene in 6 months, and appears from nowhere)
4.How was she Samanthas friend? (I mean, Samantha didn't mention about Rachel before UG2 intro, or did she)
5.Is Rachel from Olimpic City?
I know some of them have no connection to the Skyline.
And one more thing. I think the protagonist knew Samantha before he left Baywiev.
Let's start it once again.

1. In the beginning of the story the cut scenes that take place in Bayview are supposed to represent Olympic City.
2. After 6 months of (probably) being in the hopsital Samantha tells you to visit her friend Rachel in Bayview to refresh.
3. Rachel doesn't know you just heard about you from Samantha, that's why she's suspicious, acting weird.
4. Because you crashed your car in Olympic City.
In the beginning of the UG2 intro, Samantha talks about you and one phrase is 'You took out Eddie and scored the babe, have you thought about what's next? Later Samantha appears on the board screen of your car when you drive to Caleb
5. Rachel ha probably some buisness in Bayview and provides sponsors and such, so like a managment role as she controls the racing scene as she states in the a beginning cut scene.I even believe she's the mayor, because she says its her town and you're a guest, she has an office.
Probably because the devs haven't thought about Underground 2 story when they developed UG1 and there's no need that Rachel had to be mentioned in UG.

Then what was Caleb doing in OC?
Vacation? No.
The cutscene is Baywiev and it represents Baywiev and it was supposted to be Baywiev.
The protagonist went to OC to conquer it, cuz he had nothing to do in Bwv.
I bet he also comes from OC.

You should read my text above again, and then watch the beginning of UG2 story on youtube until you arrive in Bayview or better till you deliver Rachel's car back to the garage when's telling you what's on in Bayview.
PS: It's BayVIEW, not Baywiev lol
No, the cut scene's are supposed to represent Olympic City as it shows the final moments of your career in Underground.Although, it is in Bayview it is supposed to be in Olympic City.Samantha is talking during the sequences saying this You took out Eddie and scored the babe, have you thought about what's next?
Later she appears on the board screen and says Hey the party's kickin and they want their star
Taking note of your theory and comparing with the video, you would mean you beat Eddie in Bayview and that Samantha is in Bayview.
You find your theory more realistic that Player traveled from Bayview to OC and back to Bayview rather than Caleb being in Bayview to take down a problem?

Thanks you corrected my Bayview mistake (I mean spelling and theories  ). That explains almost everything. But still Hummer is missing. Was it sold to hide Calebs fault? |

Since traveling from Olympic City to Bayview requires a flight as the (probably) fastest and easiest way, I'd expect it to be a rental. And there probably were no witnesses to say what happened or recognize the other car, it probably wasn't the only Hummer among the city...he might sold it, rent it or just took it home. PS: It seems like after you defeated Eddie and also Melissa, Melissa became your girlfriend. |
