"got more sales than any black box game" UG and UG2 both sold 11 milion copies, MW'05 got 10 mil, carbon 9 mil... Keep in mind, those games are out for about 10 years and Underground...Hot Pursuit achieved over 9 million sales in 1-2 years, but if you look for VGZ Charts (I remembered that one, its not accurate for latest titles) it doesn't count online sales (e.g. via Origin) and no mobile versions (Android, iOS) - HP sold over 5 million units in 5 weeks (Release Day -> Dec 31st), which is a historical mark in the NFS franchise.

I think they're supposed to be close to eachother, I mean, the geography is pretty much the same and the roads are layed out similar. No, they're not really connected to eachother but they seem to share alot of characteristics, making me assume they're in the same area, most likely based off of NorCal or maybe even as far north as Washington. EA has gotten pretty lazy in the past few years though, all the recent maps are basically just the same with different curves and straights and maybe a touch of scenery difference. Sure fairhaven had some nice little jumps and fun stuff but it felt too futuristic and unrealistic compared to older NFS's maps, not as many sidestreets and tons of city left untouched.

Nah, Kapca Hot Pursuit had over 9 Million sales about 1 or 2 years after release, it had 5.5 million sales from release day to New year's eve (5 weeks), Most Wanted (2012) did 5.2 million in the time. Pro Street had about 8 million sales if I remember right, it was sold better than the original MW and Carbon. The numbers include online/digital sales. Rivals only 3 million? I think this doesn't count online sales and not all platforms. I don't complain about California, I love that they choose it, its my home state where I was born and raised. Seriously. hot pursuit 2010 was the only good frotbite era NFS, all other new era NFS Just Sucks balls

EA won "Worst Company In America" two bloody years in a row. Should be more than enough for Underground fanboys to play Underground online and just STOP asking for Underground 3.

But hat award is a joke and the title is wrong, it has nothing to do with financial aspects, marketing, profit, success...just angry internet kids that vote a company that seems to have the worst customer support or something.

A theory thread turned to a fanboy-rage arena, with two sides fighting with flame, for the name of their favourite games!
Anyway, when someone says that "someone who is in NFS long time would say new ones are shit" I always laugh. I mean, seriously, I've played all Need for Speeds from Hot Pursuit 2 to now, bigger half of my life I had some connection with Need for Speed series, and I still think that Hot Pursuit 2010 is great. Yes, it doesn't have any tuning, but did Hot Pursuit and Hot Pursuit 2 let you rice out your favourite Lamborghini? No, they didn't. Hot Pursuit is a sub-series of its own, and it will NOT become underrice simulator 1 or underrice simulator 2. Finito, ende.

I don't force my opinion on others in this discussion, I said things based on success...never said anyone here has to like that, however, the recent titles were one of the best in it history.
And who needs tuning with sportscars?
Besides, just a little note but non if CG titles are based on Frostbite, Hot Pursuit and Most Wanted use a heavily modified Chameleon engine by CG, BB and Ghost were the only to use FB.

I'm not flaming here for any game, but sales, i love open era games by BB and i love HP2010, i just dislike next two games(i played them) for being what they are(Most Wanted '12 being money cow cuz of using name of the classic and being much worse almost not related piece of code and Rivals for being piece of shiet auto plagiarism of HP'10 and MW'12). You can still enjoy them, but keep mind on facts about them these two are really bad, while HP'10 was great.

Just tp clear, MW 12 was never said to be MW 05 instead it was a reimagination of the theme Most Wanted - that was said by CG in bunch of interviews months before the game released.
Aside, they both share a Blacklist/Most Wanted List and the target to become the Most Wanted, of course the basic core of the original MW were the high speed chases just like in MW 12 - skip the story in MW 05 and you have a similar career...Those games have more alike when some people tell...
Most Wanted 12 might be not a great game for everyone, still its entertaining and good anyways, same for Rivals, I like that they kept the HP concept and mixed it up with MW 12.

I say it's a good game as long as it's need for speed. No matter the age No matter the sales No matter the amount of glitches
as long as it's titled Need for Speed, i like it

Well their games are just as shit as their creativity, I guess if you ever wanted to explain someone why the new NFS games are bad, then this would be the icing on the cake. Black Box was creative, creating fun stuff that made this webpage to even exist. they placed themselves everywhere some examples brought to you by internet
