WARNING! TOO MANY PICTURES!
YOUR INTERNET CONNECTION WILL GONE NUTS!
Let's get started. In one of the interviews with Criterion Games' Executive Producer,Matt Webster, said that MW2012 has some similarities with the original game(MW2005),which is kinda obvious that ALMOST of the gameplay aspects doesn't even similar to MW2005.
But there's a thing that comes to my mind that MW2012 has similarities with the old one,the cities of those two games.(And this insipired me to make this thread, lol.)
It's time that I'm going to show you the similarities of the cities,at the same time compares both of them with locations and such others. At the end of this,I'm going to sums up the reviews of the cities and pick the better one based off scores.
1.The map geography.
As most of the guys may know that Rockport is located in East Coast and the city has heavy inspirations of New York,New Jersey and New England.
Meanwhile,Fairhaven also located in East Coast and the city has heavy inspirations of Boston and Pittsburgh. The map is much bigger than Rockport,to be honest.
2.Airports.
In Most Wanted 2005,the airport's runway was supposed to be drivable just like in Underground 2,and sometimes later it was scrapped. But the airport is visible in the final version of the game.Later in World, the airport reappears and only the enterance is drivable 'til now.
In Most Wanted 2012,the airport is not in the game, but it appears as the DLC of the game. It's visible and the entire airport area is much more drivable, starting from the enterance, inside of the airport and the runway.
3.Boroughs.
There are basically 4 boroughs in Rockport which all of them are Rosewood,Downtown Rockport,Point Camden,Gray Point. All of them are pretty inspired of real life city and regions I've metioned above.
Rosewood:
Downtown Rockport:
Point Camden:
Gray Point:
Meanwhile, there are five boroughs in Fairhaven which all of them are Downtown Fairhaven,McClane,The Beltway,Callahan Industrial and Ripley's Point(not including Hodges Airfield,Hughes Park and Hughes International Airport.).They also inspired of real life cities and Fairhaven does has more things to offer.
Downtown Fairhaven:
McClane:
The Beltway:
Callahan Industrial:
Ripley's Point:
4.Sewers.
Both of the cities have a sewer. But there are some differences which I'm going to tell you guys later.
Fairhaven:
Rockport:
Rockport's version is much better cause it's longer, deeper and has some more spaces to let the water goes in.
5.Train Tracks.
In Rockport, there are total of three train tracks, one in Point Camden(Drivable, but just some parts of it.),one in Main Menu(Unaccessible.)and another one in North Bay(Unaccessible.).
Point Camden:
Main Menu:
(Sorry I can't provide one in North Bay,so you gotta go check it out by yourself.)
But,in Fairhaven, there are total of five train tracks and apparently, they are ACCESSIBLE.There's one in McClane and The Beltway, one in Downtown and Interstate 92 East, two in Callahan Industrial and one in Ripley's Point.
McClane and The Beltway:
Downtown and Interstate 92 East:
Callahan Industrial:
Ripley's Point:
6.Highways.
There are two highways in Rockport,Highway 99 and Highway 201.These two highways loop around Rosewood and Downtown Rockport.
Highway 99:
Highway 201:
In Fairhaven, there's only one giant highway called Interstate 92.It does loops just like in Rockport, but this highway loops around the entire city. And it's much more explorable and it does feels alive with traffics always moving unlike in Rockport.
Interstate 92:
7.Parks.
In Rockport, there's a park in Downtown Rockport called Cascade Park.It looks good but it's small.
Fairhaven, however, also has a park called Hughes Park. It's way much more bigger, much more explorable and to be honest, much PRETTIER than Cascade Park.
8.Landmarks.
Since there's no known building landmarks in both cities,I will pick some of the known bridges in both cities.Okay,so Rockport has a famous Turnpike Bridge that appears in Most Wanted 2005.Later it appears in World and it is drivable just for some parts 'til now.
However,Fairhaven has three known and famous bridge in the Most Wanted 2012,too.One is the most famous bridge called McClane Bridge located in McClane, one in between Ripley's Point and Downtown called Connors Bridge and another in The Beltway but has no name except for the road of the bridge is Heflin Drive.
McClane Bridge:
Connors Bridge:
The Beltway's bridge (no known actual name):
9.Stadiums and Fields.
Well,Rockport has three known stadiums which all of them are Hickley Field,Highlander Stadium(unaccessible)and Riverfront Stadium.
Hickley Field:
Highlander Stadium:
Riverfront Stadium:
But,Fairhaven DOESN'T has a stadium but just a little small baseball field in Hughes Park.
10.Ports.
The port in Rockport is located inaccurately. Why?Cause the the lighthouse here....
....blocks the cargo ships to go to the port.
Thankfully,the lighthouse here in Fairhaven....
....is located accurately.
And the ports in Fairhaven are much enjoyable to play around.
11.Police Stations.
Now,in Rockport, there are three police stations which is good thing to make the city more realistic. One of them is locted in Rosewood, one in Point Camden and one in Downtown Rockport.
Rosewood:
Point Camden:
Downtown Rockport:
What's your opinions about both cities?Leave them down here.

12.Destructions.
This is the final comparison for ya'll.In Rockport, you could destroy lamp post, boxes and such others.Well, that's pretty basic things.
But,does Fairhaven has this?
Of course not. It's not realistic, but people around find it fun and cool, even myself.
So let's sums up everything and let's see which one is better.
And........................................................ Fairhaven is the better one.
Final score:Fairhaven 9-3 Rockport.Based off the comparison above.
