While I was on vacation in Germany, I noticed something on a GPS map. A street that could be the origin for west JH. WARNING, it is not exactly the same. It is more similar after rotating or moving some elements. If you think it is stiupid, just concider this as a troll thread.
Special note for @lacooper DO NOT COMMENT THIS THREAD IF NOT NECESSARY Real^ A bit modified (down)
Well, don't destroy me, just my thoughts. And it could be only a base to JH.
The modified map is not the full JH map, just the western street.

It might be. There is no actual reason for it not being used as base.

I had the impression that Jackson Heights is based on locations like west Hollywood Hills, where some locations have an overlooking view that spans from downtown Los Angelese to the ocean. One of the streets there, Blue Jay Way, was used as the title of a song made by the Beatles. There's a culdesac at the top end of Blue Jay Way that had a nice view and was popular spot to vist at the time of the Beatles song, but the locals there put up fences to block off the view, so you now have to go to Lookout Mountain Road which passes by just north and uphill from the old culdesac to get the view. You can do an image search for Hollywood Hills to get an idea of the various views from up there. For example, go to this site and click on next to cycle through the images (6 of them): www.hollywoodimage.us/hollywood-city/pages/Hollywood-hills-view-west.htm

I don't think the team in North America was looking over the world, specifically a random area in Germany to build Jackson Heights, however it is an intersting similarity. It does have basic similarities, but I doubt its the origin, the roads were most likeley created of different bases, Bayview represents LA for the most, specifically Jackson Heights resembles the Hollywood Hills: I think the roads in Jackson Heights are based on the Mulholland Drive, but also others roads and custom. Hollywood Sign and radio tower. the Observatory the estates, there some houses that heavily resemble those in LA, also placed at the cliffs! the skyline
