Hey guys. I need your help. Does anyone here know what to do to fix improper sounding earbuds? Allow me to explain my situation: I have 4 pairs of earbuds. 1 came with my phone, 1 came with my mom's phone and 2 were bought. The ones that came with my phone were broken from the start. The 2 bought ones just broke recently (playing in 1 ear only). That leaves me with the earbuds that came with my mom's phone. They do work, but...they work on my PCs only. On my phone, the sound is heavily distorted. There is absolutely no bass, sound is really muffled and generally sounds like the things were soaked in water (which they weren't, I haven't touched them from their packaging only until a few days ago). The earbuds work perfectly fine on my PCs though. Sound is a bit quiet, but they work flawlessly. Anyone know how to fix this? If so, you'll be of big help to me. Posts meant to be troll-ish or joke-ish will get insta-removed. Please don't post here if you don't know how to help me.

I have the same problem. I own a Sony Xperia E, and I try and plug in some old Sony headphones (from a different phone) and it only plays in one ear, AND, sometimes when I plug in my skullcandy headphones when watching YouTube, it just cuts out at random times.

I'm pretty sure that the cables are broken, since my earbuds broke a few weeks ago (frist there was only sound on the right side, then I had to bend the cables around to make them work, then they broke :/)
so yeah, pretty sure about that and you can't fix broken cables as far as I know...

Well if your earbuds at the jack part if it starts to wear a turtleneck that means that the end is near so get yourself some earpods on amazon or something the fake ones (which come in colors (black, white, gold etc) but the real ones costs around 20$ and comes in the color white but if you have an iOS device heres to get bass or stuff
Go to settings Scroll down to music There will be EQ which you can choose like (electronic, R&b etc) And choose which one you like with a song playing
Welcome

The jack for all the headphones could be damaged/worn out/broken. I found a video on youtube on how to replace it. Here's the link :
