In UG2, there's something I always notice when starting up a new game, and it happens in the intro: (Sorry for Youtube borders, couldn't play UG2 at the time) It says 'With a new car waiting' right next to Rachel's car. I think this could be a slip-up, being something from the beta, but starting with a 350Z? Kind of strange. And Rachel's 350Z as well, although it could have been her beta RX-8. And sorry if this has been found before.

It refers to the 350z of Rachel which she parked at the airport...

Anyway, I think the player was supposed to acquire his car at the airport. Leaving 'New car' there like that cannot make sense in the final game, because 1. Starting with a 350Z? 2. Rachel loaned you her brand-new-yet-already-riced 350Z? It just doesn't work. And about starting the game with a race or 2 in a faster car, the races in the intro at the beginning of the game could have sufficed. The first car was meant to be acquired at the airport, or I am missing something.

It refers to the 350z of Rachel which she parked at the airport... Yes, but why is it a new car? I see your confusion, new car doesn't refer to just bought and alike....the phrase 'with a new car waiting' means that there's actually a car parked for him once he arrives, since his last one was wrecked the car right there is ^new^ for the player...its kinda weird to explain...just means you get another car. Example, you get the car from a friend or family member for whatever reason (birthday or parents buy a new one...) so people gonna say you got a new car, even if its the old car from someone else, but it is a new car for you. New can be condition and situation, there are bunch of ways to use it.

Me or Cooper? And just to say LA, the fact that the car wasn't supposed to be the players defies your reasoning for calling it a new car. If it was the first car for the player in the game (it wasn't), then it would make sense. But it wasn't, so it didn't.

Don't think too complicated, it simply means there will be a car for him, new doesn't mean the car itself is new, but that's there is a car waiting for the player even if its just for a short time, it doesn't matter, its pointless to always think over the top...
New doesn't mean new in condition, it just means there's a car for the player once he arrives and that car is just new for the player (as he has none) cause he gets it for someone else, it being only borrowed doesn't matter for the situation.

No. I am not thinking over the top, you are. Do you say there's a new car waiting when you call a cab and it arrives? No, that would be silly like calling a car that is not yours 'brand-new' and 'waiting' as it has been called in the intro. I understand the condition thing, but seriously, calling it a new car is fishy here. It isn't the players, so why call it 'A brand new car waiting'?

I understand the condition thing, but seriously, calling it a new car is fishy here. It isn't the players, so why call it 'A brand new car waiting'? It doesn't say brand new man...yes, if we called a cab before but the cab never arrived (or left because he waited too long) or came but not enough seats and we called another one, we would say there's a new car (e.g. if limosine) (or cab) waiting... It doesn't even say its the players car, it just says 'with a new car waiting'... I said you can use it and understand it in different ways, the 'new' doesn't result the car has to be brand new, it can be just new for the person. Remember the player crashes his car so the phrase is a reminder that he doesn't own a car so he gets a *new* car (for whatever time) its borrowed and you don't have to give it away straight, you can actually race with it for awhile. If you change a rental car, you'll get a new car (which will be said like that) and its not yours, just for a limited time. Oh and don't forget, its comic styled and the phrases always give a healine or very short version of the storyline. Also, it features Rachel's car and they sure would have noticed if it would be meant for a different situation.

It wasn't his car.
We should both just shut up because we can't really accept each other's arguments.

What if the 'With a new car waiting' means that his new car is waiting at the car lot while he uses Rachel's 350Z, also we can't see the WHOLE comic so maybe what i said it could appear but we can't see it

When it says new car it's basically meaning different. A new car could be a 1969 Mustang but it's new to you.

It doesn't matter, it's still new (for the person) and waiting at the airport, even if it's borrowed, it doesn't even say it's for you (for long) or your own in the intro...a rental is also borrowed and still you can get a new car, e.g. when you switch rentals for whatever reason, you say you get a new car/rental.
