Yes, I am leaving Need for Speed Theories.
And a sane person will ask "why?"
I'll tell you.
NFS Theories is dead in my eyes, and nothing will change that. Not even the upcoming Underground theories.
Take a look at it this way - I felt more welcome, more of a staff member when NFS Theories was a mere 10 members big, I felt more responsible and occupied when the site used to be a lot smaller. I felt like I could interact with you all better when this was a small community.
Another thing that helped me feel welcome in NFS Theories is the vast amount of theories when Carbon theories were still a thing. It felt interesting, reading some of the thoughts you guys left, and it wasn't just me and MostWanted2011 working, everyone chipped in.
Now that its developed into its current state, I can not feel the same way anymore.
Everyone here is like a stranger to me that I just can't bother to get to know better. Theories with common sense, sanity and everything are now only made by MostWanted2011 and everyone else acts like a brainless lemming by saying "wow gj dude!!!!!". None of you really chip in and contribute to the theory. And staff? There are much better staff than me on the site, like @alvin and @kacpa2. They are now the site's true staff, and me? I'm just taking a back seat, literally doing nothing at all.
And I also don't feel special being a "Co-Creator", considering I only get a special rank, but powers exactly the same as a moderator (fun fact: the co-creator rank has less powers than a moderator. gg, huh?)
So, tl;dr:
- I don't feel special or needed
- NFS Theories is dead
- Impossible to interact with the community
I will, however, check in to the site from time to time to see what's new and what's hip, and no, I am not deleting my account unless MostWanted2011 or any other staff member decides to delete it.
If you want to keep up-to-date with me, there's a number of ways you can do it (hint: you can click on those website names in the list):
-YouTube
-My Open Hexagon Website (if you're interested in seeing what I'm developing)
But before I leave, I want to leave some special thanks to the following people:
MostWanted2011 - for creating this community and giving me endless opportunities. It's a shame we can no longer be considered "friends", really.
@rubeng - for helping me out with my YouTube channel so so so so so so many times, I can't stress this enough on how much I thank you. You're one of the best people I've met on this site.
@kacpa2 - for being a true friend to me on the site and never going against my decisions, regardless of how fucking stupid they were (true supporter)
@prepsi - for also being a supporter, by providing me with Steam games on-the-go a year back. It was a while back, and while I didn't show my appreciation, I really did appreaciate. Sorry for putting you on my least favorite members list though.
@alvin, @kanoshano13, @zv151 and @grim - for being true friends to me. Thanks, guys.
And thus, now I must part ways with NFS Theories.
I wish everyone luck here, and I'll look forward to any new discovery you guys make.
