So, we all know that Rockport is based off of NE U.S. right? Have you ever searched for 'Rockport' in Google Maps?
Well, there are many Rockports in the U.S, but there are only a few Rockports in the NE. One of them is Rockport, Maine. Here is a map: (Sorry fo da URL's)

So, basically you can see the town of Rockport on the map…
But you can also see Camden, right next to it. This just proves that the developers were looking at this place when they were making the game, because in the game Camden Beach is E/NE of Rockport. The same is true with reality Rockport and Camden.
(BTW, I have been to both of these places)
