So, we all know that Rockport is based off of NE U.S. right? Have you ever searched for 'Rockport' in Google Maps? Well, there are many Rockports in the U.S, but there are only a few Rockports in the NE. One of them is Rockport, Maine. Here is a map: (Sorry fo da URL's) www.myfriendsmovers.com/siteimages/knox_county_maine_map.pngSo, basically you can see the town of Rockport on the map… But you can also see Camden, right next to it. This just proves that the developers were looking at this place when they were making the game, because in the game Camden Beach is E/NE of Rockport. The same is true with reality Rockport and Camden. (BTW, I have been to both of these places) [If you think this thread is stupid, I just made it cuz I was bored ]

Interesting, but it also says in the district development videos to be based on Maine, the districts itself however are heavily based on New York City and New Jersey.
Downtown = Manhatten, NYC Rosewood = Queens and other suburbs, NYC Camden Beach = Seaside Heights, NJ
Rosewood and Camden can also be similar to other cities or districts most US cities have certain similarities in suburbs and attractions, but also a boardwalk with a fair/a-park, roller coaster and ferris wheel.

I always thought that Downtown Rockport was based on Boston, since it is the farthest NE major city in America.

Nah, just look at the downtown from camden, very similar to Manhatten, then focuse in certain buildings and sections.
You can see the Empire State Building and even the Chrylser Building along some other similarities. The Century Square is definitely based on the Times Square and the bridge seen west to downtown resembles either the Manhatten Bridge or Brooklyn Bridge...
