So, you all know the inaccessible areas in Underground 2. You can race on them, but you just can't seem to find them in the city. Well I have to tell you they are pretty much all located in plausible places in Bayview. Don't trust me? Well look at what I found today. Here's a table of contents (big-ass bunch of screenshots incoming):
1. The airport and the stadium
2. The Bayview Speedway
3. The parkade tracks
4. The industrial park
5. MW2011's map, including my own findings
1. The airport and the stadium
Well, the airport's located at the airport and the stadium in the stadium. It's totally obvious, but they're inaccessible tracks, so I thought I had to put that here.
2. The Bayview Speedway
The ingame map shows that the race track is located in the middle of Coal Harbor. Of course, that's wrong. You might think it's somewhere near the harbor, but that's wrong too. Just look at the city, as we see it from the track.

2. The Bayview Speedway
The ingame map shows that the race track is located in the middle of Coal Harbor. Of course, that's wrong. You might think it's somewhere near the harbor, but that's wrong too. Just look at the city, as we see it from the track.
Look at that building with the orange prism on top of it. It's triangular, and the angled face points towards the track. It's this building:
That picture was taken to the south of the city, and the vertical face of the building points towards us. That means that the angled face points to the north of Bayview. Here's more proof.
The texture is really bad from Jackson Heights so you can't see much, but still. The race track seems to be located somewhere near the northern mountains and Beacon Hill. Most likely closer to Beacon Hill, as the city seems closer to the race track than it is to Jackson Heights.
I also found this, and I don't think anybody ever noticed that.
I think that's the far away radio tower you all know. It's location is plausible, according to the skyline.
3. The parkade tracks
Actually, the drift track and the street X track aren't on and in the same building. So let's split that part in two.
On a side note, the scenery for these tracks doesn't exactly looks like the real Bayview, more like a bigger version of the city with more buildings. That was probably made to make it look nicer, as Bayview is rather small.
3.1. The drift track
There are two things I noticed on this track: the closer buildings and the power station.
So there's the tower I was talking about earlier, and another unique tower. They're close on the actual Bayview, but they seem to be further away in the track. And the power station looks way too big. Like I said, it's made this way to make the city look more realistic. And about the station, I guess it's the same. It's there so you have something to look at while drifting. Anyway, I managed to find it on the map.
3.2. The street X track
That one is tougher. There's these pink-ish buildings and the crane to the left, and they're the only landmarks in this track.
They are located in the South Market district. I don't know about the crane, but I remember seeing that exact same crane somewhere in the city core.
4. The industrial park
That one blew my mind. The game wants you to think it's located in Coal Harbor, but that's totally wrong (it's still a harbor though, look at the boats). Actually, I can't even manage to locate it anywhere in Bayview. Just look at the skyline.
It looks nothing like the city core. The purple tower isn't the same as the one that is located in South Market. The only clear landmark is the radio tower. Everything else has nothing to do with Bayview. But what if it's located somewhere else in the world? Really, it could be anywhere. You see that radio tower from basically everywhere in the game. It could be to the north of Jackson Heights (well, there are more mountains north of Jackson Heights, but maybe you still see that radio tower from behind these mountains). It could be to the east of Beacon Hill. But it can't be to the south of Coal Harbor. The tower looks too close for the map to have another city behind Coal Harbor with another harbor.
Or maybe we're looking at the wrong radio tower. There's no water to the north of Jackson Heights and to the east of Beacon Hill, so there can't be a harbor there. But what if that radio tower is actually the one to the far west of the map? That one is pretty high up on a mountain too, so it can be seen from everywhere. And according to it's size, it seems to be pretty close to that harbor. Which leads me to think that harbor is part of a city located behind that mountain. Which is why you can't see it from the game's driveable map. There's even a highway leading to it.
5. The map
So, I think I'm done here. That thread took me so long to write.
Here's the geographical map as I think it should look like, based on MW2011's map (hope you don't care about somebody else using your own map).
So, what do you think of that theory?
