It proves my theory and more(Sorry, no spoilers!). All credits to prepsi for leading me to this.
My theory is that the canyons were connected to the cities and that you could travel from one city to another via the canyons. Welp. The word "click" is officially mainstream. Still, you need to click this.The cities are quite different and they, especially Silverton appear high up in the mountains(you can see the top of the mountains). Better quality versions of these videos are available in the Collector's Edition Bonus Disc and here are some Screenshots of roads that look like they connect the city to the canyons: Silverton      Kempton   Downtown Palmont  Fortuna   San Juan     Scenery from Canyon Video     Additional supporting material      I agree that the current canyons are difficult to interconnect, but then, the current canyons look like they were axed both at the beginning and at the end. Also, excluding the mirrors(as it is unlikely that they used mirrors if the canyons interconnected cities), there are only 6 canyons, while in the interview it is said that there are 9 canyons. These missing canyons might be required to properly interconnect the canyons. Bonus: This is from the Crew video:  5 areas so San Juan was also an area EDITED BY EP2213 REASON: I turned the videos in to links, because they seem to sometimes crash the forums when viewing the topic. I've seen all these videos and they contain shit tons of beta stuff, but not much of them are showing epic secrets. Except the San Juan video, we should get a closer look at that place!

But what it is suposed to connection between them? Only few canyon may connect with others. Longest possible connection is the Lookoutpoint-Lofty heights downhill-and possiblyDeadfall junction (via hell long extension). A lot beta stuff but this is not about connection yet i see that you show similarities between some roads in Silverton to canyon. Topic is wrog to me change it.

When I posted the previous version of my theory, I was in a big hurry, hence I just posted what I found without proper structure and explanations. I have updated my post with a revised version of my theory with better structure and explanations. I hope this solves all the confusion.

Yeah know it's much more clear. Yeah some canyon connects somehow with city for sure(in later path not on playable part by my current placement i can see that some are coming to city other start far from it and end towarding in even other direction when others are ending in direction close to city with big possibility to head later to Palmont(not on playable part ofcourse){i dont talk about Carbon Canyons but about all in general cuz any of Carbon Canyon ones heads to Palmont).

Yeah you're right, but if it's 5th area that means we got there San Juan which means that's about MC or Final Palmont with SJ normaly accessable. |

Did anybody notice, that in pic i.imgur.com/c7pZ4AK.png , the "A" shaped rock, and the rocks beyond that are brightened? In the final in-game version those are totaly dark. Maybe there was a road? Maybe the connection to Palmont? |

It's clear that Kenji ruled San Juan, so if Downtown was always ruled by tuner cars, then maybe Scorpions was the main crew in there. |
