I think they islands were just made that way(undrivable/cannot be explored). Well bridges were acceptable but ferries i dont think so.If they were ferries why are there no ferries in new games like undercover,or rivals?
maybe they were a faster way to go from one island to the other.
I dont see good reason to go by giant open Sea ferry for 2 small vacation islands 30 kilometers from the Palmont. Heavier equipment like cars or industrial vehicles and supplies are delivered mostly by just bigger barges or ships but not big open sea ferries(which in this case only would make sense, it's open sea not lake). Open sea ferries are used to transpost people and land vehicles for very long distanses(like across Baltic sea, or very far Islands etc.) Small river/lake ferries are used for very short distances like 1-1,5 km from side to side, there aren't any "medium" ferries.
ppl stop going off top. This is thread containg all our knowledge about Mystery City, not Islands to the south nor place for further discussion i lock the thread. If you want to talk about transportation theorios (to the Islands) make a proper thread for it.
That's not Palmont. Palmont will be behind LP's mountain and is not visible from that angle.
This penisula is not so hight at this part. Also its not long enough either to cover Palmont in every point. Devs just removed that from in-game LP to avoid confusion, since they used same pan-textures (scenery textures for all structeres including Palmont, San Juan, Pan City and Mystery City aswell)n one landscape. Other option is, that they tried to fill this emptiness in this part of the landscape. Sometime after recording all footage for scenes and promotion they changed their minds and removed that.
