And you really think that the locked districts are realistic? Dude, they were juat locked during career so people had to earn them as a reward, the locked thing didn't exist in Rockport itself, just a gameplay thing. Why would they create a test area such detailed? Your theory is pure BS imo...over the top thinking. I know locked districts are NOT realistic. It's obvious that its only for progression purposes only. Why would it be so detailed?? i have no answer to that but thats why i said MIGHT have been a test area

I have to agree with LACoops. You can't deny that something big happened during the development of NFS Carbon. Why would they have a completely different map and a couple of scrapped crews from beta stages? explain "deny". dont know if you noticed but my theory was about something BIG that might've happened during the development -.-

Maybe EA didnt like the old maps. Or there was no time to finish all the areas, and didnt have time to remove MC for release. Or simply the game got to big with MC finished in it and the other scrapped crews. What if Le Samurai was removed due to the facts that the crew didnt fit in the final release storyline. I mean, in the final game you have to beat 4 bosses and the Le Samurai rules the whole city except downtown because there is no tags there, so that would result in two major crews you'll have to beat. And that wouldnt be so exiting.. Thats my theory.

The story was written in very early stage of the game including the cut scenes, which already had the final aspects of the story and gameplay, LeSamurai might been the Crew name for an existing crew, due to the powers -> probably Stacked Deck, so it worked as a placeholder but they changed it later.

Like I said once before Le Samurai might've been stacked deck's code name in the beta. Btw I'm typing from the airport. 5 mins till I board and no more posts for 2 weeks from me. See ya then guys

Le Samurai rules the whole city except downtown because there is no tags there no proof, tags exist only in OtC version of the game. One crew ruling whole city doesnt make sense anyway didnt have time to remove MC for release. Or simply the game got to big with MC finished in it and the other scrapped crews Firstly, it was no problem to include another map with same textures since 3d models are very small in size, it's textures which make up most of the game's weight. Secondly, MC = palmont, it just gradually took shape when some streets were being scrapped and new ones added in place. we can even make separate definitions for this to avoid confusion: Alpha Palmont - the city of which map we can find in the files and which is found in the ps2 demo. Only parts of it were finished and ended up in the final release. Features one additional district which might have been ruled by some scrapped crew. Mystery City - the city you see from Lookout Point. The very first artistic vision of Palmont. Consists only of pieces of scenery, was never roamable in any way and will never be. MC (just a pure concept) -> alpha palmont (had a map and planned streets) -> beta palmont (most streets rearranged since alpha to make the game more fun or realistic) -> palmont (just some cosmetic changes like scenery or props) Tu sum up, there is nothing to discuss until new discoveries are made. Go look for lesamurai logos, or find something in the files, then we can talk

I dont understand why you guys are bringing this thread back up... It's a year old now and we kinda solved 99% of Carbon already.
