Alright I've got Pro Street on Xbox 360 for $7, and gotta say, this game is hecka decent! I've been playing for like 14 hours straight today, and I have NEVER encountered even one bug, glitch or even an issue. And the graphics just blew my mind, guys. For a 2007 game, it looks like some of today's games, the crashing and graphics technologies were really up top.
But something had been really bugging me. When I keep playing the game, I actually enjoy listening to the DJ dude, who constantly keeps talking, I just find his quoties interesting and fun to listen to. But especially at the start of the game, I kept hearing quotes revolving around Ryan's past. "Less legal racing" - is something that the dude DEFINITELY said at least twice just today, when describing Ryan. Ryo also looks at him like if he was just some street tramp, he points out how undecent his driving skills are in the first place. Since in the previous NFS games, you couldn't crash your car, you had wider, larger, and more randomish roads to drive around in, careful driving was not a part of the previous games.
This all led to me thinking about: What if...Ryan Cooper really IS the character of Underground 1 & 2, Most Wanted, and Carbon?
Let's begin with THIS video, here thanks to the well known, rcgldr:
In case you aren't that good at understanding english speech, here's the transcript:
-Dispatch, I uhh... I've got a guy resisting arrest here, he's in the back seat of my cruiser. He amm... He's not talking and refuses to take off his racing helmet. I've got his ID here, surname: Cooper, first name: Ryan. (He says a sentence here, that I couldn't understand, not important).I don't know, something's not right about this guy.
-Roger that.
So basically, Ryan Cooper was caught by a police officer, and he refuses to talk and take his helmet off. That's of course, definitely the protagonist of Pro Street. The thing is, what happened actually?
One thing is sure, the timeline is like this:
Underground 1
Underground 2
Most Wanted
Carbon
Pro Street
Undercover
So what if, Ryan IS the protagonist of the previous games?
Underground 1: Starts doing illegal racing
Underground 2: Does illegal racing against a retard
Most Wanted: Does illegal racing against a list of retards
Carbon: Does illegal racing against crews of retards
Pro: Does LEGAL racing against selfish retards
UnderCover: Does illegal racing and gets caught.
Thing is: what could give us a valid proof on this? Other than the fact that Ryan was an illegal racer. That still did not ensure us that he was in fact the protagonist in the previous games.
I've also heard the DJ dude saying "Most Wanted racers" while referring to Ryan, but I was not paying attention enough to remember the whole sentence. I'll do my best to record these quotes when I can.
Come on people, first Pro Street theory! That should get the activity up a bit.

Wow Awesome! but if ryan is the player, then the player is not in undercover. due to the police talking about ryan is present time unless... He has... A ClONE!!!

As far as I know in Undercover you are an undercover cop, right? Ryan is definitely not the protagonist there thats for sure.

I remember I read something about him. According to NFS Wikia, he is a former street racer. I ripped this sentence of NFS Wikia. "He is never seen without a helmet and his voice is never heard. Ryan seems to be approximately 28-30 years old in age, which could possibly state that Ryan was a street racer during his teenage times." MW's theory could be right! ...... not to argue here but I've said what MW said several times already.... but he made the theory WAY better than I could ever DREAM of!! +1!!! and BTW one time the DJ said that there was BMW M3 GTR parked outside of the racing track with the license plate that read "CARBON" this both proves and disproves Ryan might have been the protagonist. Proves: This might be Ryan's car since he was a street racer before and that nobody's even touching the car or why would the DJ have asked to move the car??? The BMW got wrecked right??? well one thing I know is that this is NOT true.. I shouldn't be providing proof but here goes... the car is a LeMans racing car which is not even STREET LEGAL!!! and this car was a SPECIAL build so Ryan couldn't have bought this car anywhere... disproves: maybe Ryan wasn't the protagonist of previous games.. but the BROTHER of him!!!! remember the guy that let you go to OC in Carbon??? maybe darius Didn't pay him but he was just your lil bro... now if THIS is not right then when "Chuck Norris" (I'm calling the badass player in carbon this!!! his cars are indestructible!!) was near owning all the bosses in the prologue (Before that) maybe he and his brother had been racing before cuz he had racing experience right?  so he bought him a Hugo and pimped it out UG2 style!! XD nah just kidding!! so he bought him a car got him started in street racing... when "Chuck Norris" escaped the city he started doing some street races until he became the leader of either the scorpions OR LeSamurai then came along the douchebags.... and took his territory... then came 2007.... since he had lost everything in palmont he had no business there since "Chuck Norris" took over the whole city... he decided to go for legal racing.. now PS comes in... when "Chuck Norris" hear how he had owned a showdown he decided to spectate his races.... Something else : in Undercover you might be the guy that let "Chuck Norris" escape palmont cuz you're a cop... but you had street raced before right??? so this leads me to that the cop guy had been street racing in Tri City and got arrested... so they gave him 2 options 1. Die in Jail 2.Become an Undercover Cop he became an Undercover cop and since he had been a cop before he had experience.. and he didn't want to spend his life in jail.... |

Might be true. We have lack of disproof so its very likely that Ryan Cooper is actualy player. BTW i said you all that Pro Street is not bad nfs. It got just underated by MW/UG2 fanboys. Only issue of game is broken handling in pc ver of game (you cant drift smoothly like in Carbon and Shifts and most of cars have horrible over and understeer+Skyline r34 fishtails as muscle car on best buyable parts (i dont now how it gotta behave on lvl4 ones) which is ridicilous. For japan sports car) After all it was revolutionary for nfs series and deserves way better reputation not like Carbon(9/10) but like 7/1.)

Yeah DJs talk about new obtained cars by Ryan but nothing more. BTW sadly GTR got "totalled" in Carbon. Second thing Ryan is in his late 20s according to official wiki and he be younger than player. Player is in early/mid 20s in Carbon. I judge about his look including the face cuz i seen in few times before it got blurred and he just look like 22-24 years old. |

He lives in 2011 and he has other girlfriend no connection with street racing at all (except Chicago stage) cuz most of his races are this Run trought USA is more like highway run. In addition Frostbite era before MW'12 havent any real connections. Pro street at least has some. |

Hmm, I had already thought about it, but I don't believe that Ryan Cooper is the character from U1, U2, MW & Carbon. Maybe something like Trypticon's theory happened to the player : Something else : in Undercover you might be the guy that let "Chuck Norris" escape palmont cuz you're a cop... but you had street raced before right??? so this leads me to that the cop guy had been street racing in Tri City and got arrested... so they gave him 2 options 1.
