Best : most wanted Why : a revolutionary idea, mixing up cars, tunning , cops and an enviromental story! Worst; carbon and nitro. Carbon: a very pretty idea, but too mutch interrssting things are removed from the final version. Nitro: a game developed by a 7 years old child Just to mention - tuning is not revolutionary in MW. UG, UG2 and Carbon have that revolutionary tuning (autosculpt which evolved to really good feature in Pro Street). Most Wanted feature very small amount of tuning features in compare to titles mentioned by me above. Exactly, tuning and customizing is just the icing on the cake. |

best:
Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2 (PlayStation 2):
Good soundtrack, spiritual successor of High Stakes and Hot Pursuit 1998 (they're also good, at 2nd and 3rd on my fav list in PlayStation 1 versions), more epic chases, good variety of cars, awesome tracks. Damn that's a perfect game.
worst:
Need for Speed Underground 2:
Maybe because its @chaosdrifter94 opinions but there are two main things that makes me hate the game:
-FPR: First Person Ricer (that system that forces you to rice your car);
-It is boring game as hell (can't even finish the game without throwing up).

My turn: best: Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2 (PlayStation 2): Good soundtrack, spiritual successor of High Stakes and Hot Pursuit 1998 (they're also good, at 2nd and 3rd on my fav list in PlayStation 1 versions), more epic chases, good variety of cars, awesome tracks. AI is dumb and slow even on "hard" and because of that url, circuits and sprints are boring as hell. Only fun goes from drifts, drags and street x (races very dynamic, that' save this type). SUV races are even other kind of boredom (veeeery slow circuits). |

Why? Carbon: awesome storyline, cool cars, good gameplay, and a lot of secrets.
Underground 2: It got good memories, and awesome customizing. The only thing i don't like about it is the slow driving.
Road challenge: It was my first nfs, also good memories. You can choose to be a cop or a racer. It got some awesome tracks too.
Worst: nfs most wanted 2012 and nfs rivals
Why? most wanted 2012: Challenge friends?? i don't have any friends who plays it. Find cars? really? stupid idea. no customizing. Horrible gameplay.
Rivals: also horrible gameplay. (i don't really play it. never played it either, but i've watched videos on youtube and it sucks)

Favorite: Hot Pursuit 2, High Stakes, Most Wanted (2005) Reasons: Hot Pursuit 2 - This is the game that introduced me to not only racing games, but NFS too High Stakes - one of the more memorable games I've played. Aged to perfection. Most Wanted (2005) - the core gameplay is simply marvelous. One of the best games of all time. Least Favorite: Undercover (PS2/Wii), Underground 2 Reasons: Undercover (PS2/Wii) - nfstheories.boards.net/thread/932/why-undercover-ps2-wii-sucksUnderground 2 - Incredibly slow and boring driving with rather cheezy music. |

Why?
Crews, the canyon races, night time racing, the car list along with the muscle, tuner or exotic classification thing (IMO Carbon has the best car list from all NFS games), great in-race music, good city, good customization system, challenge series, reward cards, and perhaps most importantly... stunning online mode (too bad almost nobody is still playing it online).
Things I don't like about it?
Fact that canyons are not connected to the city thus no canyons available in free roam (unless we go Out Of Level with glitching). However, we all know that if the canyons were connected to Palmont, then it wouldn't have been so mysterious. Might as well say it's the most mysterious NFS title, this is not a very bad thing. It's what made the game more interesting. Maybe this site wouldn't have existed if it wasn't for it and so we wouldn't be here. 2nd thing I don't like it's the duration of Career mode (you know, pretty short 'cause it can be completed in a single day). Challenge Series (can also be completed in a single day) and MAINLY Reward Cards compensate but still. 3rd thing... I'm personally not a fan of Tier thing. Sure, it makes things more realistic, but I'm not looking for lot of realism in a game like Carbon. IMO the muscle, tuner or exotic thing it's the only classification it needed despite being not a very detailed car classification.

Why?
From all the NFS games I've played, simply none of them disappointed me a lot.
Honorable Mentions (right, just invented this lol): U2 and MW2005
Why?
U2 mostly for the city (Bayview being my favorite NFS city of all times)
MW2005 for the epic cop chases and blacklist system

To fix it just click BBCode under the edit box and then you need to move (/quote) to the end of quoted line cuz preview is bugged with that a bit. |
