So the point of this thread is that you say which is ur favorite NFS and in ur opinion the worst NFS, but you also have to say why do you like ur favorite NFS, and also point some things that you don't like from ur fav NFS (there can't be a perfect game) and also for the worst NFS u have to say why you don't like it and also point some +'s out!
P.S. I might update my thoughts some time. My thoughts are based on the games i play the most at time.
Okay. I start:
My fav NFS:
NFS Underground 1
Why do i like it?
It has a nice customization, a decent story and pretty good graphics for that time (2003). I also like Olympic City. It's my fav city from all the NFS cities. Also the music choice in this game is hecka decent.
Things i don't like about the game?
AI is low poly. Races are mixed. Some are hard, then there are easy ones, then again hard!

Why do i hate the game?
Graphics are kinda shitty, the cars are way too OP, and the races are WAAAAY TOOOO easy! (racing in this game bored me to death) The hard races only start at the end of the game!
Some things i like about the game?
Nice car choice, good customization and beautiful city!

Most favorite: Porsche Unleashed So, it is a retro game. Yes, I do like playing retro games... but nowadays, I rarely play it.  Being such hooked to [insert game name here] Worst: Underground (the caps locks in there mean that I am so frustrated at this, all the time) SERIOUSLY?! This game is so crappy! Physics are like "omg racer come hit me and fly into space" and if you hit a truck, well then, you're screwed. Also, by the end of the game, you need about 3 stars! Customization is not needed! Like Broiler said, it does not make NFS games good, only the gameplay makes the game good. |

Why? Because it is in Hot Pursuit-Underground style. I love it!! The gameplay is cool, story, cars blablablabla.
It is just the best!!
Worst: Undercover
Why? It doesnt even need to be explained -_-

Good customization,cars,soundtracks,progression and OK graphics(I own PS2 version)
Worst:None
I honestly did not think NFS died,all NFS is good.

Why : a revolutionary idea, mixing up cars, tunning , cops and an enviromental story!
Worst; carbon and nitro.
Carbon: a very pretty idea, but too mutch interrssting things are removed from the final version.
Nitro: a game developed by a 7 years old child

Eh...i calmed down. Lets back to the topic.
Favourites: Need For Speed Most Wanted (2005), Need For Speed Carbon
Why? Because MW has great gameplay, new features, pretty good story as for racing game (however still very cliche, you know, We are newbie. We face a bad guy. He cheats on us. We loose etc etc. Very common or rather overused scheme)
Why Carbon?
First the Canyons. Second Drift in a canyons. Third very good story (good continue for MW's story, also its more complex and its less cliche). Crew system, cops from mw, great tuning (vinyls freedom). Good characters(and actors aswell). Good Music (almost all enjoy able for everyone but still not all like UG1). Giant amount of secrets and hidden stuff in files.
Worst:none/MW'12
Why none slash mw? Its simple, its not real Most Wanted and it sucks cuz stealing inproper name, but music and graphics are pretty cool (aswell cars), but thats all. Gameplay is ridiculous, no progression at all. No real target of gameplay (even mmo rpgs have more sense in this case) and again name. Used just to lure nostalgic fans of the original. Also bitchy dlcs (money whoring of EA) - showing M3 GTR on pre-release screenshots and then making dlc out of that.

Favorite: NFS 3 Hot Pursuit. Its got good fun gameplay, the tracks were fun to drive around and explore and they had personality, it has some really challenging events towards the end and the the music was amazing(It aint' that crap licensed pop music you get these days, all OST) And one of the most obvious reasons is the nostalgia (Used to have it when I was about 5 years old!)
Worst: NFS Most Wanted 2012. It was a rushed pile of shit and a huge cash in. The only reason they called it "Most Wanted" is because they knew the first one was very successful. Its short, repetitive, boring and a glitch fest. Its just Burnout Paradise 1.5 with cops and real cars, And the soundtrack is awful, This is the first NFS game I've actually turned the music volume to 0% because its so bad. Blackpanthaa (Some of you may know him) pretty much has the same opinion, even going as far as smashing the game disc to bits and sending it to EA + He constantly insults Criterion Games(The Developers)In his Lets Plays. If anyone else has this game, you may think similarly. But this is just in my opinion the Worst NFS.

I mean, I love escaping from the police (95% of my races is that ) and, in comparison to newer NFS's, where you hit a cop car, bam, dead cop car, in this game, you hit a cop car, bam, you dead. It's more challenging, and I like that (Also, nostalgia helps ) Worst: Most Wanted 2012. I didn't hated it. In fact, I liked it, but it's the I like the less  . The lack of history + sense of progression + (and this is the big downside) getting cars like nothing? I mean, you're supposed to earn them, when did NFS turned in GTA?, where you see a cool car, and be like: "Oh that look's nice. Me want it" *takes car*. Just doesn't feel right. Favorite NFS: Carbon
It's very mysterious and it has a cool storyline. Your player returns and captures territory, then you get betrayed by your mentor.
Worst NFS('s): Undercover & Most Wanted 2012
Sure, it's developed by Black Box/Quicklime, but it's too glitchy, and the cops are too overpowered (like @elvismiks said). It always crashes my PS3 and it's too boring. There's nothing interesting about the game. I ended up trading it to my local EB Games/Gamestop because there was nothing to do.
Most Wanted 2012
I don't necessarily hate the game, but I don't like it either. It's Burnout with real cars with the name "Need for Speed: Most Wanted" slapped onto it. You don't even get "Most Wanted". All you do is beat a guy and get their car 10 times then jack a car that you see on the streets.
I love the Burnout series, but when I see the name "Need for Speed", I would be expecting more. If MW2012 was a Burnout game I would be fine.

Favorite NFS: Carbon
Its where I found my favorite car (Porsche Carrera GT), and I love the territory control and crew aspect of the game, it makes it feel awesome, and its why I beat the game 5 times.
Worst NFS('s): Shift and Shift 2 unleashed
I mean, really, legal racing in NFS, you've got to be kidding me! leave that for grand gran turismo and Forza Motorsport, I want Illegal racing in NFS, and there is still more I don't like about it. the control sucks, I can barely drive the car, it feels nothing like a normal NFS, its just not normal for a NFS game.
