NFS U2 Beta / Foundings

First thing you will think now is..Leftover. I found this in the nfs carbon files, but!
Look at the logo..it's different, maybe it was the beta logo? look at the car that the girl is leaning on, instead of the 350z, there's a red mazda rx8 (i'm pretty sure that's a rx8. 1. that's rx8's stock rims. 2. Red is normal on a rx8. 3. You can see the front lights) This picture is not seen in underground 2..not even the girl.
What do you think?

well, this isn't really beta related but it happened to me a few days ago

so, I bought an suv in carrer because why not and wanted to do same race when this happened



according to the map, the race is located in the ocean probably ghost city, cuz ghost city's location is somewhat there.

it's actually located here



so yeh, some ghost city glitch (or something) I found, nothing much.

guys right now im looking for the UG2 demo for the PS2. also you can try too (duh) if looking up something like "NFS Underground 2 ps2 demo" doesnt work then (you need FreeMcBoot for this. its like a jailbreak) thy looking up Burnout 3 and see if it comes with the UG2 demo.

Im downloading Burnout 3 now. hopefully it has the demo. i dont even want the game... just the demo *fingers crossed*
also. are there any games that came bundled with a MW2005 or Carbon demo? maybe i can get em

no need to hope. IT DOES!!!! IT FREAKIN DOES!!!!! (that escalated fast...) i havent gone INTO the game but there's a folder in it that says "NFSUNDER". you know what THAT means... i'm so unbelievably happy. thnks sooo much Laser. i have wanted to play a beta-ish demo in years and now i can thanks to you! (one day i'll look back at this and say i was retarded. i mean thnx but i probably overreacted too much)

EDIT : I got access to the PC so here ya go (its bad quality but i was rushed, better quality might come at some other time) :

1. The "Underground" race Shops :
As you can see Rachael sends you an SMS talking about the never seen "Underground" race shops. (i think there's something like that in the final but its not called that. i think its like Stage 3 or 2 Performance shop or something like that) She says it has the "Best Performance Parts", kind of like junkman parts from MW2005. maybe a Junkman shop or something of the sorts?

2. The "Beta" map :
Now here's the nice part. The real beta stuff. As you can see the airport looks different just like i said. while in-game you cant get access the map. you can access only this : that's the map legend for those curious (like you didnt know that...) and as you can see the shops are marked as Squares instead of circles. anyway, back to the map. The district at the very bottom (like i said i havent played UG2 in forever... the demo did make me wanna get it again tho...) looks quite different towards the right. then part of the district you cant drive, which is actually part of the part you CAN drive (the one with barely any roads towards the right) has barely any roads unlike the final version. this can be seen in MANY beta stages of Bayview's map

3. Car Damage :
im not sure if this is beta or not BUT it is INACCESSIBLE in the demo. Why? maybe it was an incomplete feature OR it was the damage system promised for UG1. if you watched one of the interviews with the devs (its in this forum somewhere) they say they were going to TRY to implement a damage system similar to that of GTA. meaning your car could be deformed/bent. maybe this was it or it was just the damage system from MW2005/Carbon which was just cosmetic (or visual) damage. but its really weird how its inaccessible if it seems to be one of the main features. anyway could somebody check if that option is in the final game? PS2 or PC if you guys can.

4. The race launchers/starters in free roam (i have no idea what they're called ) :
Instead of showing what type of race it is with an icon the spotlight thing only shows purple (which stands for circuit) and a bunch of, you guessed it, PURPLE smoke coming out of it (cuz screw logic right Black Box?)

This is about the end of all the interesting stuff but read this. its not exactly beta but just take time and read through this :
 
Now you saw the map legend a bit ago. It shows all the shops and stuff. but look at this :
some shops are missing. i know its a demo and its missing a LOT from the full game. Shops like the performance shop are missing, but if they're from the DEMO and its not included in the demo wtf is the point of putting that there? its just taking up disk sapce.

Now i'll show u the best part of this whole post. THE START SCREEN! *CoD players that just witnessed a trickshot screams*

no idea why idecided to even put this here but whatever. the main reason i'm putting it here is cuz i wanted to show u the pic in the background and the ACTUAL beta logo. so the pic is the girl leaning on an RX-8 with the Subaru on the background (yea. THAT pic) which you see on every loading screen and the screen when the demo time limit runs out.

THAT'S ALL I HAVE. Hopefully this sparks some theories and also, i'm gonna try to go into the files and increase OR remove the time limit from the demo and try to find even more stuff without being paranoid about the time running out (that's why i rushed). it gives you like 5-10 mins (around that) so its not much. i might upload the demo but im gonna try it out myself first and see if it works. if it works and i can remove or increase the time limit then you will get that too. also i couldnt crank up the brightness so its dark as crap :/

Guys.. you can open the files of the PS2 demo with Tex-Ed... Wanna know what i found? "MINIMAP_ICON_SPEED_TRAP"
