Xbox has always been a dick when it comes to localization.
So funny that the usa is so on about racism, while one of their biggest countries is doing the exact same thing.
The thing is, there are huge differences between a hungarian and a usa account. Hungarian accounts pay more for gold and anything digial (due to how weak the currency is),we can't pay with paypal, we don't get a TV provider, 3/4 of the apps, 1/2 of the demos, 9/10 of the free digital content, and 1/4 of digitally purchasable games. Complete bullshit, ain't it?
Guess which game is also affected by this? NFS Undercover - a game that I urgently need. This game is literally impossible to get around here. Expecially on the xbox.
The thing is, I've finally found a solution on this. I've simply created a US account, with all the licenses and all that, so I can play games purchased on this one on my other accounts too. Bought a cheap $15 gift card, and got it up on the US account.
Being super excited, I've entered Undercover into the search bar, found it, clicked on "Buy for $15"...
GUESS WHAT
This game's region does not match this console it will not be downloaded.
I was like fuck you but sure, then let's purchase NFS Shift, then.
Same error.
OKAY then let's purchase Burnout Paradise, which IS in fact available on my locale too.
Same error.
After an hour of searching for games, CS:GO worked out. Thx valve.
So yeah, I consider that racism, honestly.

That was one of the reasons I chose PS3.. Region free. But yea if you bought the console in Hungary then almost all the games in NTSC won't work on it. There are some exceptions however. Like CS:GO

You don't want Undercover. It seriously sucks. Big monkey balls, they're just giant. It's hard to explain just how big these monkey balls are and how much Undercover sucks them.

from what I read, whats with Hungary and Video games/Internet, is it restricted in some way that I don't know?
I don't really know much of censorship (or anything else about media restriction) in other country's.
also, whats CS:GO? never mind, just searched it up.

Not really restricted, we simply live in a poverty hell-hole, where there's an unbreakable barrier between the rich and poor - the poor tries to get games locally (which is almost impossible), and the rich gets everything from outside, mostly from the UK

HE NEEDS IT TO THEORIZE, AND TO CHECK* IT ON OTHER PLATFORM CUZ IT LAGS LIKE SHIT ON PC.- Capslock/Irritated shout mode disactivated (*simply to play it and judge in shadow of criterion shit, which can make it decent game afterall) Also whole compare is really childish (monkey's ball.....really?) MostWanted2011 Well that sucks. Here in Poland we dont have such prob. Localization is 100% supported. If i could, i would buy you Undercover Disc release(eng/or in worse case polish ver) and send to you via mail but it would cost shit loads of money. |

Ive told one of my buddies on xbox that i cannot afford crap for the seventh time by now, and yesterday when i've been talking with my mates about youtube stuff he asked me "why dont you JUST GET an elgato??" and everytime he asks this i have to explain. Hes a rich brit he has no idea what its like
