So here I am going to post my findings so that they all could be in one place. SO First off here look at thiese images:  There are more of them in the NFSU files, yes THIS is from NFSU files located at: (SOMEWHERE) With this image you can clearly also see that this is HP2  There are helload of them but I am a dumbass and forgot where Probably updating it soon |

*UPDATE* here are the file names for proof that they are from NFSU:  As you see the file name is: "1-1-DXT1-nfs_u-TRACK13B_OVERCAST" |

That´s what I was thinking about, The question is: Where? What? Why? I would assume that's some map where they tested the vehicle physics offroad, there is just a dirt trail in the middle surrounded by some grass. |

It doesn't look like to be from a game, more like a real shot (or artwork) of some area, the dirt road and trees are highly detailed, you even see left tire marks...you found it in the magazine arts? Probably just a magazine cover or background...whatever HCI means...
And about HP2 I could only think about the desert/Outback track (PS2 only).

It could be an unused loading screen background or something, it definitely isn't in the game. It's name, HCI_LAYOUT probably means it was a layout/background. EDIT: HCI means Human-computer interaction. Not sure if it has the same meaning here, just something I found  |

For me it looks like a rally stage. I know, that EA made NFS: V-rally game in '99. So, maybe it can be an easter egg, but I'm mot sure, because it's really highly datailed.
