I've got a bunch of questions from BronySquare, YouTube, Steam, Facebook, etc. One of the most frequent ones is "Why do you hate NFS Underground 2?"
Well, I've decided to post this thing EXCLUSIVELY here on NFS Theories. This is why I hate Need for Speed Undergound 2.
1. It's too fucking slow No, seriously. This game is very slow paced and makes it horribly boring. It feels like the cars take FOREVER to fucking accelerate. The Circuit races are just tedious...1 Circuit race takes about 5 minutes to complete. 1 URL race takes 10 minutes. Add 5 more to that, and you got almost an hour wasted doing 1 URL event...For a game that's all about speed, it doesn't do a very good job, now does it?
2. The physics...UUUUUUUUUGH The fucking PHYSICS of this game...they are MUUCH worse than they were in Underground 1. Going in the air feels very awkward, in-fact, if you hit a wall in the air, you're gonna do about 3 billion barrel rolls. And if you're in a race, well then, you're fucked.
3. The open-world thing Alright, I don't really know how to describe this one, so I'll give you an example instead: So you finish a race in Jackson Heights, hooray! But the last race before you can unlock the URL race is in Coal Harbor. In today's games, you can just "jump" there and bam! You're in the event! In Underground 2, you have to manually DRIVE there. Which is BOOOORING. It takes FOREVER to do that.
4. The music and the sound selection. I loved the musical selection in NFS Underground. But Underground 2 has only a few songs that I enjoy. Most of the songs are usually mediocre rap songs. ...not very speedy for a game about speed which fails to make it speedy, huh? Also, Underground 2 has THE WORST car sounds in any Need for Speed game! To me, at least. I mean, HOW does a Skyline sound like a fucking mini-van when you install the best engine? IT JUST DOESN'T MAKE SENSE!
Those are the reasons why I absolutely HATE Need for Speed Underground 2. Please remember that these are only my opinions. You are free to have your own.
Don't like my opinion? That's good, just don't hate me for hating a game you like.

I hate Underground because of how much the laps increase during Underground mode later.

I agree, but rockport is actually a boring map, i actually like carbon better, because palmont looks better, drift races and at last it's harder than MW.

Rockport looks like as someone explored full of San Francisco, New York and Warsaw and became bored of these areas.

New york and san fransico is colorful cities with beautiful night lights. But Rockport is too small without any attraction in it.

Or then, looks like someone explored a high-tech industrial town full and a rural village and got bored of it. Alpha Rockport is better.

Of course it is, but we all know the retarded, close-minded EA. They will always replace a good thing with a bad one. I dunno what is the IQ of the NFS dev's. I don't think they have more than 75, what do you think?

I mean you could see alpha rockport, didn't it look fucking good? And just imagine having police chases in that big city! It would take hours to discover the whole alpha rockport. Also on the concept art it looks like the pic is taken from a canyon. Alpha rockport were supposed to have canyons in it!

#1 Thing we all hate about it: There's no proper out of level glitch. The map is filled with those fucking reset points. It's impossible to search for shit in the void, and that bugs me.

EA is a retard by default, but this one is Black Box's mistake
