When i was searching teh internetz for some cool NFS fanarts/covers,i found NFS World cover.Aaaand,my brain hurts now.Just look at this: ![]()  Ok,just a cover.What is so mind blowing?Take a closer look.(Sorry for the white strip,mah paint skillz.)   Well it's obvious that the city is Mysterious City.Even the mountain is at same place.The question is,is it on purpose or EA is playing with us? And there's another thing:You can see Mysterious city like this from Lookout Point,but you can see that the road on NFS:W cover leads straight to the city,and just like Most Wanted said,the canyon is on the other side,far away from the city...but we can't see what's one the other side of Lookout point;we can't see what's far behind Lookout points start line...what if it actually LEADS to Mystery City?It really makes sense,doesn't it? And i found some similiar buildings on the cover and NFSC art,look at this:  What do you guys think? EDIT: Can someone make map with road from Lookout point to Mystery city? I'd be very happy. |

Sadly, this is way too fictional. The creator of the cover art was definitely just a designer and not an actual developer. We've found this ages ago, and we still have no senseful answers. We all tought that this is the unaccessable east side of Bayview, but it still is not proven well enough.

What if game creators gave the plans of the unfinished cities (MC and Bayview), and the artist(s) of this cover made this?

and that can't be Bayview in the 2nd picture, that's made up from 3 island, not 2, and it's too 'thick' to be Bayview

No, The Mountain on artwork is for represent Rockport/Carbon mountain, but as MW and Kacpa said, the artwork is too fictional. Here is a SS from NFSW from wiki:  Here is a video made by rcgldr, where you can see clearly the difference between Mystery City mountain and Rockport/Palmont mountain: Btw, the Mystery City mountain and The Mountain (Rockport/Palmont Mountain) is different from the Beta Safehouse mountain, but the rest of the landscape from beta safehouse is similar to the artwork (just some parts)   Other SS from Beta Safehouse: i.imgur.com/lgqOp.jpgi.imgur.com/MTFt1.jpgi.imgur.com/ZNYKN.jpgi.imgur.com/YVbK6.jpgi.imgur.com/HoZBs.jpg(these pics aren't mine, I got it from the internet) And here is a small video made by Speedy4395 showing the beta safehouse: 1° Conclusion: Just forget the artwork, it's too fictional. 2° Conclusion: If we discart the initial mountain from Mystery City and from Beta Safehouse, maybe the Mystery City and the Beta Safehouse City be the same cities, or not.
