Is the NFS Wiki's explanation on the player true?

The player left Palmont with a car and in U he had nothing, and even if he parked it somewhere after driving awhile, he had no money to take flight to somewhere...

The Player was gone for 5 years, so he left Palmont in 2001...dont think he waited 2 years to start racing again (with nothing)

LACooper is right actually.According to Official Prima Guide and NFS Carbon Collector Edition DVD Bonus,Nikki is 19 at the time of player disappearence and 24 when the player returns.So overall,the storyline takes 5 years from the beginning.

At the start of Most Wanted, Rog (the guy that later runs the garage), makes a comment about what what the "underground" racer can do in the daytime, so it makes sense that Most Wanted follows Underground 2.

The conflict in the story line is Carbon's flashback intro, along with the Prima Guide stating that it was 5 year before Carbon , which would be sometime in 2001, predating Underground 1 and even Hot Pursuit 2 (2002).  It's clear that the player in Underground 1 is new to underground racing, but in Carbon's intro, the player is apparently an experienced racer and ahead of the pack with the Supra. In Underground 1, the player can only have 1 career car, but it can be swapped at any time for any of the cars unlocked, although the Underground 2 intro indicates the player chose to use the Skyline (although the RX7 is faster in U1). In U2, the player can have up to 5 cars in career mode. So perhaps the the Carbon intro flashback shouldn't be "5 years ago" and instead after U2, but before Most Wanted, with the player trading the Supra and the 5 cars from U2 for the BMW M3 GTR at the start of Most Wanted.

Although the player returns with the BMW back to Palmont in Carbon, the player would also have all those cars from Most Wanted (up to 15 cars), but chose to buy yet another car. So again, it's Carbon that messes up the storyline.

No, player couldnt go straight to Rockport with super race car from 2003. He could do his "business" even in Europe, just to get M3 GTR maybe(stolen from BMW museum or won in somekind of competition)
Amount of cars which we can obtain is just simple limitation.(in MW BL pinkslips seem to work just like World's Boost bought cars, they create additional slot as a bonus for themselves) 
   In NFSUG2 Skyline is just assumed to be ours car and it is heavily based on NGSUG1 tutorial Skyline(stripe has light colour not red one(in intro all scene is Black/white and sepia so i cant guess which color is it, but it is definetely light, maybe yellow or white)

BMW M3 GTR is just iconic car, that's why it is shown in Carbon's career intro. How they can predict which trolley cart you driven? They couldnt it would be useless feature and hard to create.

Did you read my post just over your one now? I speculated already about ways how he got it. You will never "know" you can assume aswell as we, that he either stole it from BMW M3 GTR from BMW's Museum(but then how he could import it freely back to US?) Or won on competition or somethink (legal street racing like Pro Street(he is not protagonist of this game)or U.R.L. like event(again no connection to UG2, i just mean race like that))
